Fujifilm has announced the launch of two new 'A' series compact cameras – the A100 and the A150. Both models feature a core specification of 10 Megapixels, Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens and high sensitivity settings up to ISO 1600. The A150 features an impressive 3" LCD screen, while the A100 features a 2.7" LCD screen. Fujifilm's Face Detection technology ensures that facial features remain sharp and beautifully exposed and instantly removes red-eye.

First announced at Photokina 2008, Fujifilm's new EXR technology makes its first appearance in the new FinePix F200EXR digital camera. Using the human eye as the basis for the perfect camera sensor, Fujifilm has created a Super CCD capable of registering excellent levels of detail when switched to its high resolution mode, but at the same time, capable of offering excellent quality in low light and superb highlight detail in contrasty light when switched to its high sensitivity and wide dynamic range modes respectively.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX P90. A new 24x Zoom-NIKKOR lens covers a broad focal range of 26mm wide-angle through 624mm super-telephoto (35mm format equivalent). The camera also features 12.1 effective megapixels, advanced Nikon digital image-processing, extended light sensitivity settings as high as ISO 6400 and image sensor shift VR image stabilization.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX S630 featuring 7x Zoom-NIKKOR lens, 12.0 megapixel image sensor and advanced Nikon digital image-processing. The COOLPIX S230 employs a newly developed 3-in. touch control LCD to offer intuitive fingertip shooting control and a variety of exciting playback options. It will be available in a choice of Warm Silver, Gloss Red, Night Blue, Purple, or Black.

Nikon has announces the introduction of the COOLPIX S220, featuring 10.0 megapixels sensor with extended light sensitivity settings as high as ISO 2000. A precision 3x Zoom-NIKKOR lens that employs six aspherical surfaces ably covers focal lengths from 35-105mm (35mm format equivalent). The COOLPIX S220 will be available in Soft Silver, Aqua Green, Magenta, Cobalt Blue, Purple, or Black, or Red.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX L100, featuring 15x Zoom-NIKKOR lens (equivalent to 28mm wide-angle to 420mm super-telephoto in 35mm format). Nikon's image sensor shift VR image stabilization compensates for the effects of camera shake, while Motion Detection automatically controls shutter speed. Extended light sensitivity settings as high as ISO 3200 add further capability that helps ensure sharper results when shooting in low light or capturing fast-moving subjects.
