Sigma has announced the new SIGMA 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM. This super-wide angle lens has a maximum aperture of F3.5 throughout the entire zoon range. Its wide angle of view from 102.4 degrees produces striking images with exaggerated perspective. The maximum aperture of F3.5 is ideal for indoor shooting and enables photographers to emphasize the subject. Two ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements and a SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element provide excellent correction of color aberration.

Pentax has announced the PENTAX X70 Megazoom digital camera featuring a high magnification 24X optical zoom lens with wide-angle to super-telephoto coverage housed in a highly portable, compact, lightweight body. With 12 megapixels, SLR-like styling and flexible exposure modes, the PENTAX X70 is a true bridge between compact digital cameras and digital SLRs. The PENTAX X70 will ship in April 2009 for $399.95 USD.

Pentax has announced the launch of the smc PENTAX-DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited, designed for exclusive use with Pentax digital SLR cameras. This is the newest lens to join the acclaimed Pentax Limited series family. Maintaining the highest standards, the Limited series is renowned for unbeatable construction and unsurpassed image quality. This new Limited series lens will continue that tradition while providing users with a new ultra-wide perspective. The lens will ship in April 2009 for $649.95 USD

Samsung has used PMA 2009 as the global launching pad for the NX Series, the company’s revolutionary new family of hybrid digital cameras.  A new concept digital camera, the NX Series offers the performance and image quality of a DSLR and the portability and convenience of a compact point-and-shoot. With the NX Series, Samsung will become a global leader in the new hybrid market.

Epson has released the R-D1x - a new 6 megapixel digital rangefinder camera. The RD1x retains the same 6 megapixel APS-C CCD sensor as the previous R-D1 and R-D1s and adds a larger 2.5 inch LCD screen, SDHC card support, EDiART image processing and handgrip. With the upcoming launch of Phocus 1.1.3 for Mac & 1.0.2 for Windows, Hasselblad now offers full digital APO Correction for the HTS1.5, which raises the integration of the world’s most powerful image processing software Phocus and the world’s most advanced digital camera, the H3DII, to new heights! Supporting this integration further, the Capture Info tool in Phocus has been extended with fields for HTS parameters, extension rings and converters.

Panasonic has released a firmware update for the DMC-FS15 digital camera. The new version 1.1 makes performance improvement at the time of the slide show enforcement. The firmware(FS15_V11.zip / 6,490,311 Bytes) and all update procedures can be found on panasonic.jp.
