Olympus has announced the new E-620 DSLR. Outfitted with a custom 7-point Twin autofocus system, the E-620 provides consistent focus, as well as a generous 12.3 Megapixel High-Speed Live MOS. Additionally, the Live View technology as well as the 6.9cm/2.7” free-angle HyperCrystal III LCD make framing every shot a cinch. The latest addition to the E-System range offers creative and technological power – all rolled into one. The new model will be available for purchase at the end of April 2009.

onOne Software has announced the immediate availability of Plug-in Suite 4.5 and FocalPoint 1.1. Plug-In Suite 4.5 is the latest version of onOne Software's Photoshop plug-in collection, which combines the recently announced FocalPoint 1.1, Genuine Fractals 6 Professional Edition, PhotoTools 2 Professional Edition and PhotoFrame 4 Professional Edition in addition to Mask Pro 4 and PhotoTune 2.2.

Samsung has unveiled two new 12 mega-pixel compact digital cameras boasting 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider lenses. Samsung’s new TL320 raises the bar for innovation in the digital imaging industry as it is the world’s first digital camera to feature a three-inch AMOLED screen with HVGA resolution. The new HZ15W offers consumers one of the most powerful lenses on a compact point-and-shoot with an impressive focal length of 24-240mm (35mm film equivalent).

Sigma has announced the launch of the new 10mm F2.8 EX DC FISHEYE HSM lens for Sony DSLR Cameras. This autofocus fisheye lens is designed for use with digital SLR cameras equipped with APS-C size image sensors. The Nikon version produces a diagonal angle of view of 180°(154°for Sigma, 167°for Canon). The diagonal field of view of this fisheye lens produces striking images with exaggerated perspective and distortion.

Kodak continues to expand the options available to photographers by offering its new KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTAR 100 Film in 120 format. Announced at Photokina in October 2008 and currently available in 35mm format, EKTAR 100 Film offers the finest, smoothest grain of any color negative film available today. The new KODAK EKTAR Film in 120 format will be available worldwide beginning in April 2009.

With the SUPER-ELMAR-M 18 mm f/ 3.8 ASPH., Leica  expands its range of short focal-length lenses for the Leica M System. The lens is constructed with eight lenses in seven groups. Due to the use of one aspherical element, aberrations are reduced to a minimum. Another addition to the Leica rangefinder system accessories range is a new finder, the LEICA BRIGHT LINE FINDER M 18 mm.

Leica has announced a new flash unit - the LEICA SF 58. The maximum guide number of 58 (ISO 100/21°) enables high light output and, due to its fully swivelling reflector, offers ideal opportunities for indirect flash illumination. Its integrated, system-controlled secondary reflector maintains image brilliance and simultaneously lightens shadows and highlights. A diffuser, particularly recommended for portrait photography and softer illumination, is available as an optional accessory.
