Nikon has released a new firmware update for the Coolpix P6000 digital camera. Version 1.2 reduces electric consumption and fixes some functional issues with corrupted files when shooting in RAW + JPEG with distortion correction enabled. As distortion control cannot be used in conjunction with interval timer shooting, settings have now been modified so that they cannot be enabled simultaneously.

Nikon has announced the 50th anniversary of its F-mount lens-mounting system, employed on the company’s lens-interchangeable SLR cameras and NIKKOR lenses. Apart from Nikon, no other maker has been able to sustain its original lens mount for such an extraordinary period. The Nikon F-mount was first employed on Nikon’s earliest lens-interchangeable SLR camera, the Nikon F, released in June 1959.

Nikon has announced the AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens, which is the first fixed focal length, fast-aperture DX-format lens that affords photographers superb image quality along with the creative possibilities and versatility of the classic 50mm focal length (FX-format equivalent of 52mm). When mounted on a DX-format camera body, it enables photographers to document their world with a lens that produces a picture angle similar to the field of vision as seen through the human eye.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX P90. A new 24x Zoom-NIKKOR lens covers a broad focal range of 26mm wide-angle through 624mm super-telephoto (35mm format equivalent). The camera also features 12.1 effective megapixels, advanced Nikon digital image-processing, extended light sensitivity settings as high as ISO 6400 and image sensor shift VR image stabilization.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX S630 featuring 7x Zoom-NIKKOR lens, 12.0 megapixel image sensor and advanced Nikon digital image-processing. Nikon's image sensor shift VR image stabilization compensates for the effects of camera shake шхиле Мotion Detection automatically controls shutter speed and the ISO setting to compensate for subject movement as well as camera shake.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX S620 digital camera, featuring 12 megapixel image sensor with light sensitivity settings of as high as ISO 6400, and 4x Zoom-NIKKOR lens with 28mm wide-angle coverage and macro shooting ability from as close as 2 cm. The COOLPIX S620 will be available in a choice of Rich Pearl, Calm Black, Noble Purple, Sky Blue, Precious Pink or Bright Silver body colors.

Nikon has announced the introduction of the COOLPIX S230 featuring 10.0 effective megapixels, 3x Zoom-NIKKOR lens and extended light sensitivity settings as high as ISO 2000.. The COOLPIX S230 employs a newly developed 3-in. touch control LCD to offer intuitive fingertip shooting control and a variety of exciting playback options. It will be available in a choice of Warm Silver, Gloss Red, Night Blue, Purple, or Black.
